J.A.F. CARPENTRY LLC considers three classifications of employees as defined below:
1) Regular Full-Time: Any employee who is regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
2) Regular Part-Time: Any employee who is regularly scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week.
3) Temporary Employee: Any employee who is engaged to work for a specific period of time such as the summer, or is employed on an intermittent basis for specific projects.
None of these designations change an employee's at-will employment status or signify that an employee will be employed for any specific period of time.
All employees are hired on a 12 month orientation (or probationary) basis. Prior to the end of the orientation period, he/she will be evaluated by his/her supervisor. Unsatisfactory performance, attendance or behavior in the Orientation Period will result in corrective action, up to and including termination or the initiation of a new orientation (probationary period ). Unsatisfactory performance, attendance or behavior after the orientation period could result in a the second or third Orientation Period will result in corrective action, up to and including termination.
