OVERVIEW

Employee Handbook and Employment at Will

This handbook supersedes all other handbooks or employment guidelines of J.A.F. CARPENTRY LLC (hereinafter referred to as the Company). This handbook has been designed to comply with current laws governing the employment relationship. Where the current law is unclear, the handbook includes provisions which the Company believes represents the best policy. However, the law in the area of employment relations changes on a frequent basis, and the applicable laws will be followed to the extent they may change in a manner inconsistent with a provision of this handbook.

The Company reserves the right to modify, supplement, rescind or revise any provision of this handbook from time to time as it deems necessary or appropriate in its sole discretion and without notice. If changes are made, the Company will notify the handbook holders as soon as possible. Representations made by any manager or other employee of the Company which conflict in any way with the provisions of this handbook are invalid unless specifically acknowledged in writing by the Managing Members.

ACCORDINGLY, NONE OF THE POLICES OR PROCEDURES IN THIS HANDBOOK CONSTITUTE A CONTRACT. NO SUPERVISOR, MANAGER OR EXECUTIVE RAS ANY ABILITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT WITH AN EMPLOYEE UNLESS IT IS IN WPJMG AND SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY.

There is one important exception to the Company's ability to change the terms and conditions of employment. All employees are employed on an at-win basis. No provision of this handbook implies a contract or guarantee of continuing employment with the Company or employment for any specific length of time. The at-win basis of employment of any employee cannot be changed or modified, either expressly or impliedly, by anyone unless it is in writing and signed and dated by the Managing Members.

Because this handbook is a general overview of the Company's policies and benefits, it does not address every situation which may arise in the workplace. If you have any unanswered questions after reading this handbook, please discuss them with your immediate supervisor or the Office Manager. We will be pleased to answer your questions, as well as to hear constructive suggestions for ways to improve. Regular communication on all work-related matters will make your job more rewarding and facilitate the coordination of your work with others.
